2018 March The Ladykillers

Adapted for the stage by Father Ted scriptwriter Graham Linehan by Kind Permission of Samuel French

Director Morgan Sweeney

This stage version of the classic 1955 Ealing Studios comedy was a massive hit in the West End and it’s sure to be equally popular with West Cumbrian audiences.

Mrs Wilberforce, a sweet little old lady, lives all alone in her slowly subsiding house in King’s Cross, London. A group of rather eccentric amateur musicians arrive, wanting to rent a room from her. Meanwhile, a major robbery has been carried out nearby. Could there be some connection between the mysterious musicians and the gang of villains the police are looking for? With only her hideous parrot, General Gordon, to assist her, Mrs Wilberforce finds herself alone with five desperate men – but who will be forced to face the music?
