Times and Star Review

In both these articles Richard Harris the playwright is confused with Richard Harris, the actor. Stepping Out was written by Richard Harris the playwright. Other plays written by him and performed by Workington Playgoers are Outside Edge (1986),  Dead Guilty (1999) and The Business of Murder (2006)

Occasionally Playgoers would go on the road. One our favourite places was Scalesceugh Hall near Carlisle. It was a home, up until 2011, for adults with cerebral palsy run by the Cumbria Cerebral Palsy Society. We were made so welcome by the people who lived there! Stepping Out was particularly challenging as we had to tap dance on carpets! Here are some photos taken in the grounds of the Hall. I have just discovered the negatives this year, 2018.
